being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect. maybe it's about stringing together all the little things. -sisterhood of the travelling pants by ann brashares
sometimes it's the simplest things that seem to brighten up the days as i'm counting down until summer vacation. i went to daiso a while ago, and that place is amazing! seriously, everything there is pretty much $1.50 and it's so hard to keep yourself from putting everything in your cart and buying the entire store omg asdfghjkl
there's just something oh so fascinating about how shaped hole punches, waterguns, bubbles, and brightly colored mugs never fail to bring a smile on my face; it's like a part of me little again. not that i want to repeat being a kid, i just love the fact that i'm enjoying simple little things that made up my childhood not that many years ago! (:
another bit of my childhood: parachutes! so in what my school claims to call """physical education""" we were all playing with the parachutes, and the bright colors was such a pleasant contrast to the grey sky at the time. not to mention everyone was going crazy flapping the parachute up and down trying to create enough force to get the octopus to go flying in the air while some people were running around under it, hollering as loud as loud can be. it was chaotic, but a good kind of chaos.
what kinds of childhood things still make you guys smile? (:
